First Round Pick, LLC has just announced that the Grand Opening for Washington High School’s new Athletic Training Department, will be serviced by FRP’s Injury Resolved umbrella. This will forge a partnership with the Blanks Foundation, the Atlanta Falcons, the Atlanta Falcon’s Youth Foundation, as well as Northside Hospital.
Booker T Washington High School received the multi-year Certified NFL Athletic Trainer Grant and will exemplify the commitment of the Atlanta Falcons and Northside Hospital to increase the standard of safety of young student athletes.
Falcons President and CEO, Rich Mckay, mentioned that “We couldn’t ask for a better partner than Northside Hospital in supporting a certified athletic training program that will assist student-athletes and their parents in injury prevention, maintenance, evaluation and aid in return to play timelines. Booker T. Washington High School will help us create a model for player safety that we hope to replicate and implement throughout high schools in Georgia.”
The Grand Opening will involve Injury Resolved’s 3-day symposium from June 8th – 10th. The IR camp has had success the last couple of years, conducting its clinics at Mceachern and Marietta High Schools.
